About Shantel

Hi, I’m Shantel. I am a woman whose life has been shaped by rhythm, resilience, and the healing power of movement. Dance has always been my language, but it became my lifeline when I faced cancer. Through that journey, I learned that healing is more than a physical process. It is emotional, spiritual, and deeply connected to how we move through life.
During my recovery, I made a promise to myself that once I healed, I would create a space where others could experience the same freedom and transformation that dance gave me. This is that space. It is a place where we come together to move, release, connect, and remember the joy of being alive.

Corey Coombs

Corey Coombs is a dancer like no one you have ever met. Born in Barbados and raised in Montreal, Corey has consistently participated in a culturally rich variety of dance forms. Being part of a Calypso heritage inspired Corey to start his dance training at the age of 8 with The Montreal Afro-Caribbean Dance Company, expanding his repertoire in his teens with Fusion, a Jazz Hip-Hop troupe. By 18, New York City provided him with a personal stage for dance discovery, and under the tutelage of a team of Jazz, Modern, and Ballet instructors at the Broadway Dance Center, Corey evolved as an artist and performed in many showcases and events.
Performance is only one aspect to Corey’s vibrant abilities: Teaching is where his passion kicks into a whole other gear! Corey has the remarkable ability to communicate easily and encouragingly to students of all ages, shapes, levels, and backgrounds. He has devised an exceptional workout intensive that channels the groove and spirit of the Islands. His drive to teach has brought him to New York, New Jersey, Montreal, St. John United States Virgin Islands, and California.
Malibu is one of Corey’s professional playground; the fulcrum for ongoing dance classes and private trainings. He currently teaches all over Los Angeles in high demand teaching new students and privates all the while arriving to packed, supportive, and excited classes! He has taught all walks of life, from the novice to the practitioner, as well professionals.
Corey’s unbroken focus and loving dedication to dance has sparked the branding of his own cardio craze, which has received major notice from Malibu, to the countless corners of Los Angeles.

Kosar Abbasi

Kosar Abbasi was born where movement was silenced, yet her spirit refused to be still. She carried her love for dance across borders—from Iran to India, Malaysia, and finally Los Angeles—each step a testament to resilience and freedom.
Her body became her language, her art a prayer. On every stage, she transforms struggle into beauty, inviting others to discover the liberation of movement. Through dance, she reminds us: when we follow the rhythm of our soul, we find both healing and belonging.

Ryan Johnson

Ryan Johnson was born in Manhattan, New York, where he quickly made his way across the country to California. Raised primarily in the Northern California countryside with a Protestant Christian upbringing, Ryan developed a love for movement in high school where he studied Breakdance and Hip Hop. Majoring in Psychology and Chinese in college, where he learned African and Caribbean styles, Ryan returned to Los Angeles to work as an industry professional. Credits include Madonna, Carly Rae Jepsen, Selena Gomez, Fitz and the Tantrums and Eminem. Since 2021 Ryan has developed a passion for Middle Eastern dances that include Persian, Arabic and Israeli. Ryan now runs his own dance and DJ business named Indigenous Dance Fusion (INDAFU), which serves to connect people of all ages to their indigenous roots through music and dance
Her body became her language, her art a prayer. On every stage, she transforms struggle into beauty, inviting others to discover the liberation of movement. Through dance, she reminds us: when we follow the rhythm of our soul, we find both healing and belonging.
